We are currently looking for a Graduate Intern (Order Entry) to join our dynamic team.

Job Purpose:

The Order Entry Intern will be responsible for effective co-ordination on the aftermarket product spanning. The intern will also perform pricing and costing updates and as well as sell technical products from time to time. This position requires servicing internal and external customers as well as handling customer complaints

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Experience in the Order entry /transaction processing of fast-moving technical Aftermarket products spanning thousands of stocks keeping units (SKU’s)
  • Experience in selling technical products will be highly advantageous
  • Perform pricing and costing updates on a continuous basis
  • Knowledge of compiling and presenting end-of- day reports and month-end procedures as it relates to Order Entry
  • Experienced in working on an ERP system including updating of BOMs and accurate processing of Invoices and Credit notes
  • Understanding of the principles of executing transactions that avoids Audit findings
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of an integrated supply chain especially Inventory management
  • Exposure to process mapping and improvement will be advantageous
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of Project Management; exposure to actual projects advantageous
  • Exposure to a customer centric environment i.e., servicing internal and external customers as well as handling customer complaints in a professional yet confident manner
  • Will be given to exposure gained in farming, automotive or related technical field in an environment of high SKU’s i.e., more than 3000 units

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Required Degree / ND: Agronomy/Agriculture engineering /Electrical/Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • BCom Supply Chain (with first class passes in /costing and financial accounting
  • BCom Cost Accounting or BCom Marketing with Cost accounting modules
  • Computer Proficiency: ERP with systems especially Sales & Distribution, Accounting modules
  • Microsoft office: Excel (Advanced) including the ability to manipulate big data
  • Word and PowerPoint, for report writing and presentations will be a distinct advantage
  • Digital skills (advantageous): PowerBI, Computer aided-design, Simulation packages will be highly advantageous
  • Must have a valid driving license and own reliable transport
  • Must be fluent in Afrikaans – conversation / professional /narrative or bilingual

Key skills:

  • Excellent and confident communicator (verbal and written) in both Afrikaans and English
  • Engineering Economics/ Cost Accounting skills is required
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to present logical arguments and reports
  • Ability to analyze, make sense of and present logical proposals from big data
  • Other important behavioral traits:
  • A good team player is a must, as is the ability to engage across language, cultural, religious and gender barriers
  • Good Time management including the ability to complete Projects in time and within cost targets
  • Emotionally mature i.e., including ability to handle stressful situations, appetite to learn from others, yet confident enough to challenge the status quo in a professional manner
  • A flexible approach including preparedness to put in extra hours and take on additional assignments with a “can do” approach
