Introduction

The successful incumbent will be responsible for Zan-Tech national sales, the strategic marketing, setting up of distributors, looking after key accounts as well as the management of the staff to achieve budgets and the growth of Zan-Tech in our market sector.

RESPONSIBILITES RELATING TO KEY PERFORMANCE AREA

Strategic Direction

  • Ensure the development of a realistic and attainable strategic business plan for the Departments that defines operational goals and objectives
  • Ensure that functional results meet or exceed targets
  • Ensure that audit targets are achieved
  • Ensure growth of both sales and service departments

Operations

  • Managing overall business logistics utilizing key staff
  • Ensure service delivery to Clients and operational efficiencies that relates into profitability for the Company
  • Issuing new directives and changed procedures to ensure operational and process efficiencies and control are maintained.
  • Managing and controlling the expenditure and operations according to financial targets.
  • Assisting with cost control and surveying of all projects
  • Driving sales department, assisting with distributorship and key client sales growth, as well as hiring of key personnel to grow the department.
  • Assist and implement marketing and sales strategies for the company.

Maintenance

  • To investigate, search and implement alternative solutions to avoid exorbitant/unnecessary expenditure to better control expenses for the department whilst working with the Technical Manager.
  • Set up budget and control expenditure based on approved budget
  • Manage internal/technical/process projects and develop and control maintenance budget and consumables inventory.

Financial Control

  • Lead, the effective management of the functional areas to maximize financial performance.
  • Actively manage finances, budgets and related accounting systems by ensuring the appropriate financial controls are in place and maintained to control overheads and expenditure, manage cash flow and ensure profitability. This will be assisted by accounting HOD.
  • Ensuring that pro-active management accounting and financial management practices are adhered to.

People Management

  • Manage and oversee HR initiatives, including the recruitment, induction, remuneration, development, succession and training of all staff according to business demands and relevant policies and procedures. This will be assisted by department HOD’s and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance to relevant legislation: including BCEA, LRA, EE Act.
  • Motivate and give direction to all employees.

ADHOC

  • Any other reasonable adhoc duty as required or requested by management.
  • It should be noted that individuals may need to expand their roles / scope to cover the work load of other employees in times of high work loads or individuals whom may be absent from work. This is the sole discretion of management.
  • Managing the performance of each employee.
  • Sustaining current market position and growing market share.
  • Creating business plans to support the company’s financial objectives.
  • Defining long-term strategic goals and developing clear plans to implement them.

Desired Experience & Qualification

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Operations, services and activities indicative of general management.
  • Previous experience in similar construction or engineering industry is a plus.
  • Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation.

EDUCATION LEVEL

  • Matric / Grade 12 NQF 4
  • Bcom Degree in accounting or similar.
  • MBA advantageous.

Package & Remuneration

R 40,000.00 pm

Travel and Cell Allowance

Overall company sales commision on growth
